Meet the Maker

 

Welcome! I am the maker behind BA silver, Bailey (Allen) Langvardt. I love spending time in my shop in the Flint Hills of Kansas! When I'm not in my shop, you can find me out taking care of cattle or helping my husband, Trey, around the ranch. I also love to rope and ranch rodeo, taking special care to keep all of my fingers so these hands can keep making ;) Trey and I live on his family's 3rd generation Angus ranch with our 2 dogs, Josie and Sage, and our string of cowponies where I help out when I can. I also help my dad in the summers where we run double stock yearlings on the summer grass, which is where my love for this way of life began! I love to let my creative side loose, getting inspiration from everyday life in the western world.

I've been silversmithin' for about 8 years now. I started when I was a senior in high school with just a starter kit of tools and no idea what I was doing! This business helped get me through college where I got a degree in Animal Science at Kansas State University. I now run BA silver full time, outside of ranch life of course. It is just me and the dogs in my shop, everything that goes out the door is made by my two hands, while I also handle all the other jobs that come with owning a business! I am mostly self taught, but have since taken some classes along the way that have helped improve my skills tremendously.
